#WEGOTWE It's a sisSTAR thang!™ is producing a one of a kind documentary entitled "If My SisSTAR Is In The Hood, That Is Where I Need to Be" in which women in urban communities are THE focus. This documentary will serve to reach women who are mentally and physically imprisoned by their circumstances in urban communities.

WOMBMEN from across the nation have volunteered their testimonies and submitted their own, RAW footage, in hopes of saving other wombs with their stories of struggle and triumph.

This film, the women in it, and their testimonies will aid women in freeing themselves from the hold and the programming of the oppressor, which in many cases is themselves. For far too long HER story has been told from a patriarchal view…the time has come to see her story through her eyes.

What is more compelling than the hardships and stories of incarceration, homelessness, discrimination, and fighting the system (among many more), are the spiritual journeys these women set out on for their freedom.
